graffe is a multidisciplinary collective that works in the vast field of design: product, interior, communication, modeling. We are Carolina Chini, Caterina Rosa and Michele Novello. The use of disparate materials and the awareness of their limits, combined with the technological know-how orients graffe’s research towards materials’ expressiveness that makes each object unique in its imperfections. The traces of the processes, which are visible in the productions, are a potential that differentiates objects in the seriality of industrial products.
graffe defines a set: of thoughts and objects that become visions and collections. Graffe tries to explore the relation between humans and objects, between objects and space, considering aspects like time and change.
We believe in design as an expressive medium, that is the result of a story in a project. We believe in design as a remix between past and future, between old materials and new behaviours. We believe in use, not in consumption.
